Abstract
This paper presents a critical reinterpretation of the concept of Singularity 3.0, proposed by Barrera (2014b; 2025). The text explores the potential of the intellectual argument as a new epistemological horizon that integrates anthropic and technological singularity. This intellectual exercise does not aim to faithfully reproduce Barrera’s (2014b) position, but rather offers an analytical reinterpretation that seeks to deepen, contextualize, and expand his ideas from a rigorous philosophical and scientific perspective. The analysis examines how this conceptual proposal transcends traditional dichotomies between the human and the technological by proposing an ontology of becoming that redefines the understanding of knowledge and human existence in the 21st century. It argues that the reinterpretation of Singularity 3.0 constitutes a form of epistemic disobedience in the face of a new technological colonialism that reproduces logics of exclusion and technical determinism. Through the notion of integral persovision, the irreducibility of the human being is affirmed, as a process of integrative coevolution between humanity and technology is proposed across biological, intellectual, volitional, and transcendent dimensions. Finally, the paper reflects on the need for an ethics of singularity and its relevance in the Latin American context.
