Abstract

The review highlights the importance of developing communicative skills in understanding and producing academic texts within the university context. Coordinated by Dr. Maira Alejandra Pulgarín Rodríguez, this work brings together a series of concepts and strategies aimed at bridging the gap between students and academic training, addressing questions about the nature of academic texts and their teaching. The book proposes a didactic approach that systematizes various arguments and offers practical recommendations without intending to establish rigid patterns. It emphasizes the fundamental role of language and literature classes as spaces for modeling good communicative practices, recognizing that the comprehension process should be considered a cultural and recursive exercise. With a comprehensive approach, the book serves as a valuable resource for the training of competent communicators in the academic field, promoting conscious and critical learning.
