Abstract
The review of the book "Literary Education: Reflections for Change," coordinated by Ramón Luis Herrera Rojas, addresses the importance of literary education in the comprehensive development of young people in Cuba. In a context where many have never opened a book, the text seeks to transform this reality by focusing on literary education as a process that transcends the classroom, starting in homes and cultural spaces. The work, composed of various academic contributions, examines the current state of literary pedagogy in the country, promoting critical thinking and the diversity of perspectives. Through historical and pedagogical reflections, it emphasizes the role of literature as a vehicle for cultural and emotional memory, essential in the formation of identities. In times of cultural homogenization, the book stands as a call to value the richness of literary voices and to foster an education that awakens curiosity and independent thinking.
