Abstract

The text analyzes the uneven incorporation of Artificial Intelligence in the Colombian Caribbean, particularly in La Guajira, Magdalena, and Cesar. Although educational, administrative, and productive initiatives are being promoted by universities, public programs, and interinstitutional partnerships, significant limitations remain in connectivity, infrastructure, access to devices, and specialized training. The text also highlights the sociocultural challenges of implementing AI in ethnically, linguistically, and territorially diverse contexts, where local knowledge must be recognized. It further warns about risks related to data use, privacy, and technological dependency, calling for a critical and contextualized appropriation aimed at regional equity.
