Ciencia e Ingeniería adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI 2002) and to the Mexico Declaration in Favor of the Latin American Noncommercial Open Access Ecosystem, issued on December 15, 2017. Accordingly, it provides free and unrestricted access to all material published in its regular, special, or any other type of issue. This journal has no embargo periods; therefore, its issues are made freely available to the public from the moment they are published. The only limitations for those who use our materials are those established by the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, which is the only license under which our journal publishes.
