Abstract
This research shows a model of an electric train moving on a rail, designed from the SimPowerSystem® and Simulink® tools from MATLAB®. The model simulates the behavior of electrical and mechanical systems, allowing to display the variables associated at these, further, a simplified electrical model is presented using basic MATLAB® programming commands. This study used the methodology of deductive logic as a basis for research, through the presented model simulations; it was possible to recreate the dynamics of movement and the conditions to which that station is located at each point of its travel.
