Plagiarism Detection

Entretextos uses a plagiarism detection program, currently “Turnitin,” provided by the University of La Guajira. This program is used upon receiving articles and before any submission for evaluation.

The similarity reports generated by the software are analyzed by a human. It is always a knowledgeable individual who determines whether plagiarism has occurred or not. The software is merely a tool that facilitates the review process.
