Publication Guidelines

Guidelines and Publication Standards for Authors

For the moment, the journal accepts articles exclusively by email: entretextos@uniguajira.edu.co

  1. About the Double-Blind Review Process

The journal will employ a double-blind peer review system. All submitted works will be reviewed by members of the national and/or international committee of recognized professionals in their respective fields. The outcome of the review will remain confidential. This journal publishes works evaluated under a double-blind system, meaning a minimum of two relevant academic peers will assess the submission based on the criteria outlined in our evaluation guide. Reviewers should consider the following aspects: originality, novelty, relevance, theoretical-methodological quality, formal structure and content, grammatical competence, writing style and comprehension, results, analysis, critiques, and interpretations.

Submissions must receive two positive evaluations for publication. If both evaluations reject the work, it will be definitively discarded. In cases of controversy, where one evaluation is favorable and the other is not, a third evaluation will be sought to resolve the conflict.

An email must be sent to entretextos@uniguajira.edu.co with the following documents:

- An electronic version of the manuscript (.doc or .docx).

- A letter of transfer of publication rights and a declaration of original and exclusive work.

The Editorial Committee will review compliance with editorial standards and the scientific quality of the manuscript. Works that do not adhere to presentation standards will be returned without evaluation. Manuscripts meeting presentation and quality criteria will be sent to reviewers for assessment. The reviewers' comments may include:

- Accepted without changes.

- Accepted with modifications.

- Rejected.

Based on the reviewers' feedback, their observations will be communicated to the primary author, who must return a corrected version of the manuscript addressing the reviewers' comments. Along with this new version, a document must be attached responding to the reviewers' comments and justifying any suggestions or recommendations that are not accepted. If the suggested changes are substantial, it will be at the discretion of the Editorial Committee to send a second version of the manuscript. Finally, the Editorial Committee will review the document, and the Editor-in-Chief will communicate the final acceptance of the manuscript if it meets the journal's requirements.

*Note: Copyright remains with the authors. Revista Entretextos requires the transfer of publication rights but will not claim authorship or recognition of ownership of the research.

Publication rights will be transferred to Revista Entretextos, and only the published version by the journal (post print) may be shared without any changes to its format or content. As the owner of the publication rights, the journal will allow self-archiving and dissemination in repositories and websites of any kind as long as there is no commercial use. The extent of this permission is defined in the Creative Commons By NC ND 4.0 license.

  1. Submission and Rights of Authors and Co-Authors

Works may be authored individually or collectively. The primary author must send an email to the editor requesting the evaluation of their work for possible publication. At the end of the document, a section titled "Biodata" must be included, featuring a brief CV (the same for co-authors), outlining personal, institutional, and recent publication details. Copyright is held by the authors, but publication rights are ceded to the University of La Guajira. For any reproduction, reprinting, or re-editing by any mechanical or electronic means, permission must be requested. Authors will receive an electronic copy of the journal. Free and non-commercial distribution of all articles in electronic format is permitted.

An individual author may publish only once per issue and must wait for two issues before submitting again; this applies to any form of authorship, whether primary, secondary, etc.

  1. How to Participate in ENTRETEXTOS

The author(s) must address a communication to the Editorial Committee stating that the article is original and has not been simultaneously submitted to another journal, along with a concise CV. A declaration must also be signed, transferring authorship rights to the University of La Guajira.

Articles are accepted in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Wayuunaiki, accompanied by a corresponding abstract translated into Spanish.
