Abstract
The main objective of the research was to identify the levels of Active Hope in the students of the Educational Institution Number 8 Sede Perpetuo Socorro, in Maicao, La Guajira, Colombia. From the theoretical point of view, it was based on two currents of thought of motivation within the cognitive or management-focused approach; on the other hand, the hope of Morales de Romero, Nancy (1990-2016). The methodology was developed from a positivist approach, the type of research is descriptive correlational, with a transactional non-experimental design. The population under study was a population census made up of 60 students. As a technique for collecting information, the interview was used through a survey, and as an instrument, the questionnaire. The results reported: the descriptive statistics for the active hope variable revealed a mean of 4.1021 with a deviation of 4.1512. The success models variable reported an average of 3.3875 with a deviation of 62794. The correlation between the variables active hope and success modeling agents; it is 0.222 it is low positive with a bilateral significance of 0.265 which indicates that the correlation test is low positive; that is, the variables show little correlation.
