Professor Francisco Justo Pérez van-Leenden. Educational proposal for the Guajira region

Abstract

The purpose is to make known the educational work and thought of the teacher Francisco Justo Pérez van-Leenden, outstanding Teacher of the University of La Guajira and the Colombian Caribbean, made great contributions to the Academy and to the culture of the region as is evident in their books, articles, research, paper and work throughout his professional life. His ideal was the crystallizations of an inclusive and relevant edu- cation for La Guajira- Colombia, territory characterized by the multiculturalism and the implementation of ethno-educational programs and projects. For the realization of this work, the writings and testimonies of those who knew him were used, which allowed him to delve into his academic life, leading to highlighting his contributions, becoming a symbol for La Guajira.
