Abstract

Adsorption cooling has been widely studied worldwide, because it offers equipment powered only by solar energy, hence the possibilities in the Guajiro territory contain questions that must be addressed in the light of academic research. The analysis of the potential is based on the performance coefficient (COP), and in the Guajiro context the ambient temperature and minimum global radiation, since the cycle depends on climatic aspects. The purpose of this work is precisely to analyze the results of the research given at the University of La Guajira, around the adsorption refrigeration cycle, and, from there, to support the proposal to adopt the technology -prototype- for the benefit of indigenous communities vulnerable.
