Evaluación de impacto ambiental de la minería artesanal de arcilla en Riohacha, La Guajira

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify and assess the environmental impacts caused by the exploitation of the material clay and brick making artisanal mine "La excelencia" located in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Riohacha Guajira. The research was descriptive, looking for different eventualities and further explanation of the disturbance variables. The quantitative methodology is essentially trying to unravel the effects on these ecosystems. The results show that these activities are causing impacts, are the first to which the owners of these artisanal mining and environmental authorities should focus to minimize its consequences, as deteriorating quality of life of people, damaging the natural environment of current populations that have settled around the area of ​​influence, like seriously polluting the environment. For this primarily be generated soil remediation systems, using appropriate techniques of exploitation of clay materials.
