Best practices guidelines and editorial

The editorial committee ensures that each publication meets scientific quality standards and maintains the declared frequency. It operates impartially and evaluates all submitted works through a double-blind peer review process. Based on the review report, it accepts or rejects the submissions. It guarantees the quality of published material even after the publication date if any unethical practices, such as plagiarism, misrepresentation of sources, or fabrication of data, are detected. It also ensures that publications in each volume do not repeat the same authorship. Starting in November 2023, there will be an obligation to ensure that articles resulting from special issues or content commissioned to invited editors will be subject to the same requirements and regulations as regular articles. In cases where there is an invited editor, they will be allowed to publish only one article, which will undergo regular external peer review. Furthermore, the editorial team will ensure that there are no conflicts of interest in the articles that may be published as a result of commissioned edits to invited editors.

Authors must guarantee that their articles are original, unpublished, and have not been submitted to other publications simultaneously, which must be assured through originality declarations, along with the transfer of publication rights submitted with their proposals. They must not exaggerate the significance and applicability of their research results, so they should be critical and specific in their claims. All works referenced in the body of the article must be cited, as failure to do so could be considered plagiarism. The reference list may only include material that has been explicitly cited within the article body.

If their research has received any type of funding, it must be disclosed to avoid conflicts of interest; failure to include such information could result in the removal of the article even after publication. They must also specify if their research involved additional participants in its preparation.

Authors will adopt a receptive stance towards criticism and suggestions and will submit the requested corrections within the established timelines. They will also have the opportunity to inform the editorial team of any errors they may find in their own proposals during the evaluation period.

The evaluators will complete the requested work within the specified timeframes. Their review will assess originality, scientific contribution, management of sources, and correct use of concepts and theories. They will report any unethical practices, such as plagiarism, conflicts of interest, or attempts at multiple submissions. They will use respectful language to communicate their observations and will maintain complete confidentiality regarding all information processed.

They will maintain a critical stance towards their own work and will disqualify themselves in cases where they consider their experience or knowledge insufficient to proceed, declining any participation that may generate conflicts of interest.
